Dr. Kim Krivit, DVM, Owner

Dr. Kim Krivit grew up in Minnesota and received her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992. She then moved to North Carolina, to pursue her career as an equine veterinarian, and in the process opened North Star Stables as well.

Since the young age of 2 years old, Dr Krivit has always had a strong bond, love, and appreciation for horses. Still to this day, you can sometimes find her sitting in the middle of her horse’s pasture, breathing in their energy and comfort.

Chiropractic and acupuncture training has deepened her connection and communication with horses. A skill she had been shaping for years, breathing in an animal’s energy, has found its place in helping Dr Krivit with this deeper communication. “So many horses, like 95%, are in pain and keep doing their job anyway! I want to dedicate more time to this in-tune way of healing them!”

When not at the clinic or around the stables, Dr Krivit is usually with her family on some equine adventure, whether in the woods finding their way, or in the stands of an arena, cheering on her daughter, Willow.
